This mating brings together many of the best black miniature schnauzers produced in Europe in the 1990s and uses the last Havenstad litter bred by Mr. de Meulenaer, the "G" litter.

The foundation stock for Ardennes miniature schnauzers is European.  The standard used in my breeding program is the FCI standard.  I view the miniature schnauzer as a small working dog - this is how the dog was described to me by the late Cyril de Meulaenaer owner of the Havenstad Kennel in Belgium.  

My miniature schnauzers are European imports.  They have come from Gerard Bruintjes' Vanenblikhoeve Kennel and Havenstad.  They are soundly built and move with speed and accuracy.  The dogs also exhibit keen intelligence and are alert to their surroundings.
